Meet Paul Rasid, our Administrative Employee of the Month! Paul, Golden Years Homecare's Veteran Liaison, has been with Golden Years for 2 years. Paul says he enjoys being with the elderly because they are so wise and knowledgeable about life. He especially likes working with his fellow Vets, getting them into the VA, making sure they are getting the services they need, and just spending time with them to discuss their service years.
Paul volunteers for the VA hospitals in Connecticut playing guitar mostly at the bedside or in lobby areas. He is also a Hospice Volunteer for Baystate, and in the process of joining N2N (Neighbor to Neighbor) to do visits and provide companionship for the home or bed bound elderly folks in the Longmeadow and East Longmeadow area.
In his spare time, Paul enjoys playing his guitar, drawing, and getting back into doing watercolors after a long absence.
"I recommend Golden Years whenever I see compassion and caring from someone. I feel these traits are the prime assets for doing the good work a caregiver provides," Paul says.
